The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

The College at Brockport is participating in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), and we are asking for your continued assistance to make the survey administration successful.

The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) collects information on how students spend their time on activities researchers have determined matter for learning, and on how institutions meet students’ needs in terms of services. Generally speaking, survey results point to areas where colleges and universities are performing well and aspects of the undergraduate experience that can be improved.

Eligible first-year and senior students received an email invitation to respond to NSSE on Monday, February 17, and will receive additional reminders through March. The next reminder will be received on March 5. Eligible students may also find their invitations within Blackboard.

Following the February 25 Daily Eagle notification, we again ask that faculty or staff teaching courses for first-year and senior students announce that NSSE has been distributed and that a reminder will be emailed on March 5. We also want to advise that student participation is entirely voluntary, that participation cannot be coerced, and that there be no undue influence.
