The Reality Tour: For Cities Our Size, Rochester is #1 in Extreme Poverty

This event will focus on the impact of racial disparities and discrimination and their connections to poverty in the Greater Rochester community. The Department of Social Work is sponsoring a bus with limited seats available. RSVP by March 20, 2020.

What is Rochester's Greatest Problem? Poverty!

Join The Reality Tour and learn about the real facts. Hear the real human stories. Get ready to take action.

For cities our size, we are #1 in extreme poverty. This means there are more than 30,000 men, women, and children in the heart of our community who literally struggle to survive every day.

Learn about their experiences. Hear about the impact of failed policies and devastating budget cuts on their lives. And, get ready to take action to help people who suffer from our community's greatest problem.

Time: 11:45 am to 3:45 pm

Location: School Without Walls (480 Broadway Ave. Rochester, NY 14607)

Look for the yellow school buses. Parking is available across the street.
