Parking and Transportation Tips and Updates 2020-2021
Start the year off right. Read the following tips offered by PTS.
What’s most important to know about campus parking?
Parking permits are required and will be enforced first day of class. If you have not done so already, buy online now. The permit will be mailed to your home address. You may use the receipt as a parking permit for 10 – business days. Receipts are sent to your Brockport email. Print and place on your car dash. It’s that easy!
Office hours for fall semester are 7:45 am–3:30 pm, Monday–Friday.
Exception, Monday, August 24–Friday, September 11, 7:45 am–4:30 pm.
Enforcement will remain Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–7 pm.
PTS recognizes that this fall, some students will be traveling less to campus. To allow flexibility in your permit choices, we have designed alternatives to purchasing a full year or semester permit. Parking by the day and/or hour may suit your needs better. There are several coin-operated meters scattered throughout campus, as well as pay stations located in lots T (Tuttle) and V (SERC). Bill or coin is accepted. Coming soon: a mobile payment app, ParkMobile, which will accept credit card payments and text you when time is expiring. More information will be added to our webpage soon.
Tips on finding a parking space
Parking demand is exceptionally high during the first two weeks of the fall semester. Plan to arrive at campus early; don’t wait in line for a space; try lots D (Holley St) and V (near SERC); plan to walk 5-7 minutes to your destination. Have a plan in mind for alternative parking if your first preference is full when you arrive. Greeters will be out and about to offer assistance. Parking and transportation information is viewable via the campus Google map
This is a great way to view lot, meter locations, carpool locations, as well as the shuttle stop locations, times, and routes. Visit brockport.edu/map.
Manage your parking account online
Visit brockport.edu/parking and select ‘My Parking Account’ to make updates to your vehicle information, purchase a permit, and/or pay a citation. No need to stop into the Conrad Welcome Center. We are limiting the number of occupants to two.
Zipcar has suspended this service for the fall semester.
Eagle Run Shuttle
Regular service begins Monday, August 31. Shopping and trips to the Rochester area transportation hubs will be offered starting August 27. Passenger occupancy has been drastically reduced to 4 – 6 at any given time. Please adhere to new guidelines, to include wearing a face mask. Many changes have been made to the route offerings. The following trips have been suspended for the fall semester: malls and late-night Brockport village. New to the program are trips to Brockport Downtown 161 Chestnut Street. Guests and visitors are required to obtain a parking permit. In most instances, payment is required. Several options are provided – meter, pay station, mobile payment app – COMING SOON. Departments may pre-order and pre-pay by completing the Mach form found online. Please be sure the form is submitted well in advance of the visit.
Visitor check is located at the Conrad Welcome Center. Instruct all visitors to use the drive up, where they will be required to complete a COVID Screening Questionnaire.
Parking Lot Improvements / Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
Lot F has been completely rebuilt with improved curbing and accessibility. Three dual-port charging stations are available in lots G1, N, V.
