Call for Programs: International Education Week (IEW) November 2 – 6

Let’s reimagine how we globally engage! The Center for Global Education and Engagement is building a schedule of virtual events for IEW. We want to feature internationally focused events that are happening in and around our community.

International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education in efforts to promote programs that prepare U.S. Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences.

The Center for Global Education and Engagement will host IEW the week of November 2 – 6.

While we cannot celebrate IEW in-person this year, we have a unique opportunity to reimagine how we globally engage so that students, faculty, staff, and alumni can participate in our virtual events from anywhere in the world!

If you, your department, club, or organization would like to host a virtual event in connection with IEW, we welcome your participation.

Ideas for virtual programs that you or your department could host may include but not limited to:

•Student social activity in collaboration with cultural clubs

•Round table discussion

•Workshops on internationally-focused topics

•Faculty panel presenting internationally-focused research

•Intercultural simulations

If you would like your international event to be included, please complete the linked MachForm. Deadline to submit information is Tuesday, October 20.

We would really value your contributions to make this year a success!
