Women and Gender Studies is pleased to announce the fourth annual awarding of the Jennifer M. Lloyd Women and Gender Studies Essay Prize. Topically appropriate submissions are accepted from all disciplines.
As you are reading through final fall '11 papers, please remember the spring '12 Jennifer M. Lloyd Women and Gender Studies (WMS) Essay Prize opportunity.
Dr. Jennifer M. Lloyd is faculty emerita in the History Department and a prior director of Women and Gender Studies. In tribute to Dr. Lloyd, this prize seeks to recognize outstanding undergraduate writing addressing issues on/about women and/or gender.
Faculty many nominate outstanding undergraduate papers written on women and/or gender submitted for coursework undertaken during the latter part of spring ’11 through the spring ’12 semester submission deadline. Similarly, undergraduate students may self-nominate papers written on women and/or gender completed during this same academic period. Topically appropriate submissions are accepted from all disciplines.

The essay award winner will be recognized at the Women and Gender Studies End of Year Reception held in April 2012.
