Barb LeSavoy, Co-editor, with Pat Maxwell, Managing Editor, Publish Volume 2 of The Seneca Falls Dialogues Journal
Women and Gender Studies, with Library, Information, & Technology Services, is thrilled to announce publication of Volume 2 of The Seneca Falls Dialogues Journal, a multidisciplinary, peer reviewed, online journal collaboratively published by Women and Gender Studies affiliates at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Monroe Community College, St. John Fisher College, The College at Brockport, University of Rochester, and The Women’s Institute for Leadership and Learning.
The Seneca Falls Dialogues Journal grows out of the Biennial Seneca Falls Dialogues (SFD), a conference collaboratively launched in October 2008 to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the first women’s rights convention held in Seneca Falls, New York and the 60th anniversary of Eleanor Roosevelt’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Co-editors of Volume 2, Dr. Deborah Uman, Professor and Chair, Department of English at St. John Fisher College, and Dr. Barb LeSavoy, Women and Gender Studies Director at The College at Brockport, are excited to introduce Volume 2 as thematically linked to the 2016 Biennial SFD conference theme, "Lean Out: Gender, Economics and Enterprise," and which features several Brockport WMS students and alumni and a mix of Brockport faculty as authors.
Managing Editor Pat Maxwell, Library, Information & Technology Services at Brockport, meticulously guided Volume 2 in journal layout and design, featuring cover art from photographer and Upstate Girls founder Brenda Ann Kenneally, who was the 2016 Biennial SFD keynote.
