Substance Abuse Interventions: Catalysts for Change: Criminal Justice and Community Collaboration
The SUNY Brockport eBook imprint is pleased to announce the addition of Substance Abuse Interventions: Catalysts for Change: Criminal Justice and Community Collaboration by Gary Metz, Associate Professor (Healthcare Studies), and Richard Lumb, Professor Emeritus (Criminal Justice). This book examines entry points for intervention and assistance to people entering or within the criminal justice system. This early intervention step begins with controlled implementation and seeks to engage the individual in a pathway forward that does not include drugs. The authors explore the opportunity, strategy, and models of intervention that bring promise to reducing substance abuse. While a print edition may be purchased on Amazon, the authors felt that this information was too valuable to remain behind a paywall, and they are making it available openly for a global audience through Digital Commons at Brockport.
SUNY Brockport eBooks considers for publication on The College at Brockport’s digital repository, for free and open access, quality work produced by Brockport faculty and staff (current or emeriti); Brockport students (current or alumni); and authors/editors whose work relates to The College at Brockport or its neighboring communities. Look for a spring release of Gilgamesh and the Great Goddess of Uruk by Dr. John Maier.
