New Campus Drive westbound lane closed Friday, 2/23, through Wednesday, 2/28
Follow up work to replace the precast concrete wall panel at the Drake to Tuttle North pedestrian bridge damaged last fall will take place starting Friday morning, 2/23. The work includes removal of the damaged panel and glass, installation of the new panel, reinstallation of the glass, and cleaning of the surrounding existing precast panels. Westbound New Campus Drive (the lane from the Village toward campus) will be closed at the stretch of road between the northwest entrance to Parking Lot T and the Allen Drive loop. The eastbound lane (from campus to Village) will remain open. Detour signs will be in place; the detour route is to drive through the west side of Lot T, around the south side of the Tuttle Complex, by the west side of SERC, and rejoin New Campus Drive west of SERC. This westbound lane will be closed through the weekend to accommodate contractor equipment staging. We expect westbound New Campus Drive to reopen late afternoon Wednesday, 2/28. Pedestrian traffic across the bridge will be available at all times. The contractor will set up a barricade on the bridge around the repair area for pedestrian safety.
Thank you for your patience while we complete this repair work now. We apologize for the inconveniences to faculty, staff and students caused by this work. Eagle Run riders can follow @bportparking on Twitter for shuttle updates.
