Scholarly Activity in the School of Business and Management

Dr. Barry Hettler’s paper, co-authored with A. Forst, entitled “Disproportionate Insider Control and Audit Quality” has been accepted for publication in the journal Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory. SOBAM Finance major, Emre Serbetci, worked with Dr. Hettler in data collection for the paper.

Dawn Footer, a student in the MS-Accounting and MPA programs will be presenting the paper entitled “ARIA Agile Framework: An Organizational-Level Implementation Strategy” at the Society for Advancement of Management (SAM) - March 22-24, 2018. Her faculty sponsor is Dr. Jack Cook.

Dr. Yuanlong He presented his paper “High or Low? Some evidence about the US corporate tax rate.”, co-authored with Yin Thompson (Oakland University) at the Decision Science Institute's 2017 Annual Meeting at Washington D.C. on Nov 19th, 2017.

Dr. Mary Ellen Zuckerman’s paper entitled “Use of Current Events Presentations in Business, Government and Society Class: Issues and Possibilities” paper and presentation for the Business Research Consortium, April 2018.

Dr. Mary Ellen Zuckerman’s paper entitled “Farm Instituted and Rural Women: The Case of Rural New York State, 1900-1940s”,presentation at the Rural Women’s Studies Association 18th Annual Conference, May 2018.

Dr. Mary Ellen Zuckerman’s paper entitled “Keeping the Passion, Cooling the Anger: Handling Controversial Subjects in Class through structured Exercise,” paper and presentation at Management and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society, June 2018.
