LAST MINUTE SUBMISSIONS? SCHOLARS DAY 2018 – DEADLINE EXTENDED!!
Building on a solid foundation, Scholars Day 2018 is stretching out into new spaces and artistic & academic places. Once again, debate teams from Oswego & Brockport will clash their rhetorical swords, while the experiential partnership of a Modern Language section with a RCSD Charter school explores bilingual culture. The celebrated Dissenting Voices student journal, from the Women and Gender Studies program, debuts its 7th edition in a special author presentation.
The special exhibit at Drake Memorial Library will highlight award-winning photography, artwork displays, a creative writing class exploration into process & media, meteorology student photo projects, and Delta & Honors College research. A mid-morning snack is offered, under Honors Club & Delta sponsorship. Grab a bite and browse the Drake exhibit!
In addition, we celebrate the 3rd Annual Poster Palooza @ SERC, including the faculty-nominated poster competition, plus the opportunity to see over a hundred poster projects all under the fieldhouse roof. The Brockport Student Government will honor all our presenters this year with a special commemorative t-shirt.
These along with the 5th Annual Pettis Business Competition, the Eurosim Experience, Honors & Leadership ceremonies, and excellent student and faculty panels, presentations, and performances all celebrate Brockport's academic mission and strategic pillars - excellence in our scholarly & creative activity, engagement for presenters and audience, gathering as the Brockport community to share in transformative moments.
