HOLIDAYS WHEN CLASSES ARE IN SESSION
In our continuous efforts to make Brockport a Great College at Which to Learn, President’s Cabinet has asked that all campus offices remain open on Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, and President’s Day—three holidays in which classes are still in session. While many campus offices have historically stayed open on these holidays, it’s important that our students have access to all of our services.
Please discuss office coverage within your respective areas to ensure adequate office staffing is in place.

CSEA, PEF, Classified M/C employees:
Employees required to work on observed holidays may be eligible for additional compensation or holiday accruals. Holiday compensation or holiday accruals are available only for work performed during the hours that correspond to the employee’s normal work hours. Full-time employees (some part-time employees) are credited with a day of holiday leave if a holiday falls on their regular day off (pass day). To ensure proper credit is received, employees must record observed holiday hours worked on their time record. Holiday leave accruals must be used within one year of being earned.
UUP, M/C Professional employees:
Employees required to work on observed holidays are eligible for holiday accruals. To ensure proper credit is received, employees must note the day worked in the “Holiday Time Worked” section of the online time record. Holiday leave accruals must be used within one year of being earned.
