WORKPLACE VIOLENCE PREVENTION TRAINING: MANDATORY FOR ALL COLLEGE AT BROCKPORT AND RESEARCH FOUNDATION EMPLOYEES

In accordance with New York State law, the College is hosting mandatory Workplace Violence Training sessions. Registration is now open. Please read the list of dates and times carefully, as some are specific to one department.

The College at Brockport is pleased to share that registration for our Workplace Violence Training sessions is now open. These sessions, which are mandatory for all College employees, are in accordance with NYS Labor Law § 27-b and its implementing regulations in 12 NYCRR § 800.6. These laws establish requirements for the creation of programs aimed at the prevention of Workplace Violence, as well as rules governing the training of employees on these programs and procedures and record-keeping requirements for employees. SUNY campuses are required to comply with the provisions of the Workplace Violence Prevention Act and its regulations.

Facilities Physical Plant employees do NOT need to register, as they have their own sessions not listed in QuickReg. If you are a day shift worker, please attend on Tuesday, October 30, 1-2:30 pm, in Seymour College Union Ballroom West. If you are a night shift worker, please attend on Wednesday, November 7, 7–8:30 pm, in Seymour College Union 220.
