The College at Brockport
The Mathematics Department at The College at Brockport, State University of New York, is seeking a Lecturer in Statistics beginning August 2019.
Teach 12 credits each semester at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will teach a variety of lower division mathematics and statistics courses as well as other courses consistent with academic preparation, professional experiences, and needs of the Mathematics Department. Other responsibilities include participation in committee and service work for the department, school and college.
• A Master’s degree in Statistics or Mathematics or closely related field from a U.S. Department of Education accredited college or university or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.
• Experience teaching statistics for a variety of undergraduate students.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
• Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse mathematical, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to campus presence.
• Ph.D. in Applied Statistics from a U.S. Department of Education accredited college or university or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.
• Minimum of three years’ college level teaching experience.
• Ability to teach intermediate and upper division applied statistics classes with emphasis on modern statistical methods.
• Knowledge of statistical software such as R and/or Minitab.

Salary, Benefits, and Appointment
Competitive salary and excellent benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurances, and retirement. This position will offer a 1 year contract followed by a 2 year contract and subsequent 3 year renewable contracts based on performance. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
