Student Accessibility Services

Main Page Content

The College at Brockport is committed to the inclusion of all individuals.

Student Accessibility Services provides support and assistance to students with medical, physical, emotional, or learning disabilities; as well as students with temporary injuries/impairments.

Reasonable accommodations are provided to students on a case by case basis to help ensure access to the campus environment, and can include:

  • Accessibility of campus facilities
  • Advocacy for student needs
  • Referral to appropriate governmental and community agencies

We are determined to uphold and maintain all aspects of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended. In the spirit of these laws, The College at Brockport provides equal opportunity to individuals with disabilities.

In order to receive services and accommodations, it is necessary that you officially register with Student Accessibility Services. Registration includes filling out a registration form and submitting documentation. Documentation should contain a diagnosis of the specific disability from a qualified professional and provide a rationale for the requested accommodations.
