Once you complete the Green Leadership Certificate, you can sign up for the Gold Certificate.

As a result of this program, you will be able to:

  • Identify the role you play within a group and in community contribution. (Collaboration)

  • Describe your group’s common purpose within the community, including common aims, values, and vision. (Common Purpose)

  • Discuss your views and values contrasting to others in a civil manner that develops positive relationships and helps you work towards community goals (Controversy with Civility)

  • Develop strategies to evaluate and learn from both failures and successes within the community. (Resiliency)

Overview of Gold Leadership Certificate Program Requirements:

  • Attend the Annual Kick Off event

  • Take the Strengthsquest Assessment

  • Attendthe bi-weekly seminars

  • With group members, volunteer with a local organization or agency at least once during the fall semester

  • With group members, meet regularly with advisor

  • Attend the Annual Student Leadership Conference

  • Implement a Social Action Project to benefit the community with assigned group

  • Present your group's Social Action Project to the Brockport community at Scholars Day
