Number of Years Working at Brockport: I've been working at Brockport since June 2015.
What do you love about Brockport?
The students and staff have been incredibly welcoming since I have started at Brockport. I love passion that the staff have for supporting student success at this institution.
What's the best part of your job?
I enjoy helping students that are struggling at Brockport. In my role, I will not always meet students when they are at their best, but it is my job to work with students to assist in education that will position them to be successful Brockport graduates.
What do you do for fun?
- Watching the Buffalo Bills
- Playing Xbox
- Time with my family
Any advice for first year students?
Get involved. There is something for everyone at Brockport. Join a club, play a sport, do research with a professor. These are the activities that will build upon your classwork and shape your Brockport experience.
Most memorable program at Brockport:
During my second year as a Resident Assistant, another RA and I presented at the annual RA Conference. The title of our presentation was “Take this job and shove it!” The point of the program was to inform RA’s about burn-out on the job. We were thinking we wouldn’t get that many people to attend. To our shock and surprise, the room was PACKED!!
“Do. Or do not. There is no try” ~Yoda This quote reminds me that if I am going to do something, I need to be prepared to commit myself fully and put forth my full effort.
