Brockport Eagle Service Trips (BEST) is Brockport's alternative break program. During academic breaks (e.g. spring, fall, and winter), groups of students led by Brockport faculty and staff, serve with communities focusing on a specific social issue.

To provide affordable service immersion experiences focused on positively impacting and building partnerships with local, national, and international communities.

Active citizens committed to sustainable social change.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify the ways in which the service projects are informed by community identified assets and needs in conjunction with community partner(s)
  2. Demonstrate their ability to reflect, engage in dialogue, and participate in other opportunities to process their learning and experience
  3. Discover their ability and commitment to working collaboratively with others to address community issues

Upcoming Trips

Hurricane Harvey Relief

Houston, Texas  |  January 4th - 18th

Volunteers will be working with All Hands and Hearts to repair homes and schools damaged during Hurricane Harvey. This will be a two week service trip, taking place January 4th-18th. We will being flying in and out of the Rochester airport. This trip will take place during winter break.

Total Cost = $550

  • Cost covers housing, food during work days, and flights to and from Houston
  • Application is due Friday, October 25th
