Friday, January 19

8 am – 5 pm Residence Hall Check-in 
Residence Halls
Check-in will take place throughout the day and evening, but no move-in assistance will be available.
11 am – Noon Academic Advisement Check-In
Rakov Center for Student Services, 101
Your first stop of the day will be in the Office of Academic Advisement in Rakov. Pick up your Degree Audit and transfer material.
11 am – Noon Student Reception
Seymour College Union, Main Lounge
Students and parents: Feel free to stop by and grab some refreshments while interacting with your new peers.

Not registered for classes yet? You must have your Degree Audit to be admitted into the Ballroom. Please be sure to stop by the Office of Academic Advisement in the Rakov Center for Student Services to pick up the registration materials required for registering for classes.

2 pm

EOP Transfer Meeting
Seymour College Union, Room 228
This meeting is an overview of the Educational Opportunity Program for incoming EOP students.

10 pm –

Welcome Back Party

Need a chance to catch up with your friends? Come to the Union Ballroom for some food and fun (details TBD).


Saturday, January 20

King for a Day
Meet in Seymour College Union, Main Lounge
Returning students interested in community service: Join us for this community service initiative in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Transportation is provided. RSVP for this event online.

(Check-in at 8:30 am)

9 am –

(Lunch will be provided afterward.)

New Student Welcome
Seymour College Union
Meet peer mentors, obtain your student ID, interact with other new students, and learn more about academic expectations and available resources. Check-in begins at 8:30 am and the program will conclude at noon, with lunch and a group photo to follow.  RSVP online or to Cathy McCormick at or (585) 395-5397. An agenda and parking map will be included in a confirmation email sent two weeks before the program.

1 pm Class Photo
Seymour College Union, Ballroom West
Come join Ellsworth, our school mascot, as we take a group photo of our new incoming students. Get your free Brockport Spirit shirt!
Following Class Photo at 1 pm Spring Saturday of Service
Meet in Seymour College Union, Main Lounge
Students will participate in service opportunities that match both community needs and student interests. Meet in the Union Main Lounge concluding the Class Photo. Open to all students interested. RSVP for this event online.
6 – 8 pm

Shopping Shuttle to Walmart and Wegmans
Meet in the Seymour College Union Bookstore Hallway
Shuttles will depart every 15 minutes.

10 pm –
1 am
Winter Grocery Bingo 
Seymour College Union, Ballroom
Come to the Union Ballroom to test your luck at a game of bingo to win groceries and other prizes. Stock up on food and useful goodies as we head into the upcoming semester!


Sunday, January 21

1:30 –

Find Your Classes
Seymour College Union, Main Lounge
Join the Welcome Week Assistants for a tour of campus. This tour will be based around your class schedule. Bring your schedule and meet in the Union Main Lounge. 
6 – 8 pm Shopping Shuttle to Walmart and Wegmans
Seymour College Union Bookstore Hallway
Shuttles will depart every 15 minutes.


Thursday, January 25

11 am – 2 pm Community Development Open House
Seymour College Union, Second Floor Foyer Area
Stop by and enjoy some coffee and hot cocoa while you learn about community service opportunities, our award winning Leadership Development Program, and democratic engagement initiatives and program. Open to all students.


Friday, January 26

7 – 9 pm Snow Day Event

Seymour College Union
Stop by the Union with your friends to get ready for the upcoming semester! (Details of the Snow Day fun will be coming soon.)


Wednesday, January 31

8:30 – 10;30 pm

Club Craze: Spring Edition
Seymour College Union, Ballroom
More than 125 student organizations will be on hand for you to meet with and learn how to join. Plus, performances from our entertainment groups. This is the BEST way to learn about how to get involved on campus!


Wednesday, February 7

11 am – 2 pm Brockport Community Fair
Seymour College Union, Main Lounge
Learn how to get involved in your new community by talking with local clubs and organizations within the Village of Brockport. These local groups will be promoting their service opportunities and helping you explore ways to be fully engaged in the Brockport community. Open to all students.
