As video has become an essential tool for communication and publicity, it is important that any videos produced and promoted for The College at Brockport maintain a standard level of professionalism and quality.

  • Meets your objectives.
  • Aligns with the College’s strategic priorities.
  • Contains the required College at Brockport branding elements.
  • Maintains a professional look and feel.

Request a Video

To get started with your project, submit a Job Request. In the job request system, please attached a completedProject Request Form, with further details about your project.

Once it is received, we will review it and get back to you with questions and/or next steps.

Because of the high demand for video project on campus, College Communications is selective on which projects we undertake. We are here to assist you with your project from concept to completion, ensuring that College standards are being met. However, there may be instances where we cannot produce the project for you and may recommend outside resources to help you accomplish your goals.

If you have any questions please contact Matt Yeoman or call (585) 395-2104.

Video Basics

Copyright

Prior to the distribution of any College at Brockport video, it is imperative that you have received in writing the rights to distribute the material. No copyrighted audio, video or images can be featured.

File Size and Formats

Your video file should not exceed 20 GB; however, it should be at least 1280×720 resolution. The large file size allows for both high quality and HD videos to be uploaded to YouTube. Preferred file types for YouTube are QuickTime (.mov) and MPEG (.mp4).

Submitting Files to Brockport’s YouTube Channel

Brockport’s YouTube channel exists to give the community access to all college-related videos. In order to continue to build an expansive library, we need your help in gathering all existing and future videos. The channel will serve as a key promotional tool, receiving thousands of views every month. Additionally, once videos are uploaded, they can be embedded on Brockport’s website and Facebook pages. Please help us grow Brockport’s YouTube channel by submitting your Brockport-related videos.
