Karen M. Riotto
Assistant Vice President For Finance Management
Karen Riotto was hired as the Assistant Vice President for Finance and Management at the College at Brockport in February 2008.
Karen comes from the State University of New York College at Oswego, where she worked for over eleven years. She most recently served as Director of Accounting. Karen earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from SUNY Oswego. She also earned a Bachelor of Art in Economics and Management Science from the State University of New York College at Cortland.Karen is responsible for the Budget Office, Student Accounts and Accounting, and Procurement and Payment Services.
She represents her Division on a number of campus-wide committees and participate in the development of external campus partnerships that have financial implications.
Director of Student Accounts & Accounting
Teresa Major has been employed at The College at Brockport since January 2007. Teresa came to Brockport after serving as the manager of Student Financial Services at the University of San Diego and as the bursar at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and has extensive experience working in the student accounts field. Teresa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication from the University at Buffalo, and her Master’s degree from The College at Brockport.
As Director of Student Accounts and Accounting, Teresa's role is to provide oversight of a comprehensive financial operation designed to assist students and their families with their student accounts. Responsibilities include billing, loan and scholarship payment processing, and counseling students relative to their financial obligations.
Teresa represents the department on a number of College-wide committees, and holds membership in several professional organizations.
Director of Budgeting
Crystal Hallenbeck has worked at The College since May of 2006. Her career at The College at Brockport began in the Office of Student Accounts and Accounting where she was employed as a staff accountant for five and a half years. In January of 2012, Crystal transitioned to the Budgeting Office where she assumed the role of Senior Financial Analyst, and in 2014, became Director of Budgeting. Crystal holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Dance, as well as a Master of Science in Forensic Accounting, both earned at The College at Brockport.
As Director of Budgeting, Crystal is responsible for the annual setup, creation, and monitoring of budgets for the campus. She and other Budget Office staff help to ensure that appropriate allocations are in place for departments, expenditures are charged appropriately, and that financial reports are produced in a timely manner. Crystal oversees the College’s faculty and staff salary pools and is in charge of various SUNY financial reports, including revenue/expenditure projections for the campus.
Director of Procurement
Mark Stacy has been with The College at Brockport since 1994. Mark began his career at The College working for the Brockport Auxiliary Service Corporation (BASC) as a Purchasing Manager. Mark was hired by The College in 2005 as Assistant Director of Procurement and Payment Services and became the Director of Procurement and Payment Services in February 2008.
As the Director of Procurement and Payment Services, Mark manages a staff of eight, is the Web Procurement coordinator, and is responsible for utilities-related items, architectural and design services, construction and rehab projects, consultant services, Memos of Understanding (MOUs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), accident reports and insurance
