You may apply for only one of the following grants during a given grant cycle:

  • Student Travel Grant to Present 
  • Student BSG Travel Grant 
  • Student BSG Travel Grant for Non-Club Members

Student Travel Grant to Present

Award up to $300 to reimburse eligible expenses associated with travel to present work at an academic conference. Full- and part-time students are encouraged to apply; open to both undergraduates and graduate students. Work must contribute to student's academic or professional development. Maximum of one travel grant award of any kind per student during a given academic year.

There are two application options--one for individual students and one for faculty/staff advisors who are sponsoring a group of students presenting at the same conference.

Applications are due not later than 5 pm on November 10, 2017 & February 16, 2018.
You are encouraged to submit early.

Student BSG Travel Grant

Award up to $300 to reimburse eligible expenses associated with travel to attend a conference. Full- and part-time students are encouraged to apply; open to both undergraduates and graduate students. Student must be active member of a BSG club, and attendance must support student's role in the club. Maximum of one travel grant award of any kind per student during a given academic year.

There are two application options--one for individual students and one for faculty/staff advisors who are sponsoring a group of students traveling to the same conference.

Applications are due no later than 5 pm on November 10, 2017 & February 16, 2018.

Student BSG Travel Grant for Non-Club Members

Award up to $300 to reimburse eligible expenses associated with travel to attend a conference. Full- and part-time students are encouraged to apply; open to both undergraduates and graduate students. Designed to support students who are not active members of BSG clubs to travel to a conference. Attendance at the conference must clearly enhance the student’s educational pursuits at the College. Maximum of one travel grant award of any kind per student during a given academic year.

There are two application options--one for individual students and one for faculty/staff advisors who are sponsoring a group of students traveling to the same conference.

Applications are due no later than 5 pm on November 10, 2017 & February 16, 2018.

Distinguished Professor Award

Competitive, one-time award up to $1,000 to matriculated and enrolled graduate students to support eligible expenses associated with a program-required research project or creative activity. Preference given to Master's thesis projects.

Applications are due no later than 5 pm on October 13, 2017 & February  9, 2018.
You are encouraged to submit early. 

To submit application successfully, you must be logged into Blackboard.

Scholars Day — SURC — NCUR

Scholars Day is a premier, annual College at Brockport event during which hundreds of Brockport students showcase their scholarly and creative work in oral and poster presentations as well as in exhibits, panels, and artistic performances. Daytime classes are cancelled during this early April event. Mark your calendar for Scholars Day 2018 on April 11.  More about Scholars Day

National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) and SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) are annual undergraduate research conferences for matriculated, enrolled students which offer a forum to present research projects and creative work to a national and state audience, respectively.  More about NCUR-SURC
