Cisco Unity Voicemail
Retrieving Your Voice Messages
By default all voicemail will be sent to your email. If you do not have email access you can perform the following actions:
On Campus from YOUR Cisco Phone:
- Dial 5000 or press the messages button.
- Follow the voice prompts. Your ID=your phone extension.
On Campus from another Cisco Phone:
- Lift handset; dial 5000
- When your hear the announcement for “Cisco Unity Con-nection Messaging System”, tap the * on your key pad.
- Follow the voice prompts. Your ID=your phone extension.
Off Campus, dial (585) 395-5000 to retrieve Voice Messages
- When your hear the announcement for “Cisco Unity Con-nection Messaging System”, hit * on your key pad.
- Follow the voice prompts.
Direct Transfer to Voicemail
- While on a call, press the transfer soft key.
- Press # and then dial the 4 digit extension, e.g. #XXXX
Changing Playback Speed for Messages
While listening to a message, toggle among the following speed settings:
Press 4 once ~Slow playback.
Press 4 again ~Slower playback.
Press 6 once ~Fast playback.
Press 6 again~Faster playback.
Changing my Voice Mail PIN
Login to Unity Voice Mail as you always do either by hitting the cassette button on the phone
or dial 5000. Then proceed to log in by entering your current PIN followed by #
Immediately hit button 4: “setup option”
From there hit button 3: “preferences”
You will then hit button 1: “PIN change” and then follow the prompts.....
