In December 2004, I joined the professional staff at The College at Brockport as a marketing manager. My primary responsibilities were undergraduate recruitment, major college events, and the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs. In June 2010, I was promoted to assistant director of marketing in the Office of College Communications and expanded my scope of work to include graduate recruitment, branding and marketing strategy for academic departments.
Prior to Brockport, I worked for two Rochester-based advertising agencies as a media planner/buyer and marketing manager. One of the aspects I enjoyed most about my job was pulling together qualitative and quantitative research for my clients to build robust plans that aligned with their marketing objectives. In 1998, the agency I worked for won the Brockport account, and I had the opportunity to work with the College as they undertook a huge recruitment initiative to raise the bar on incoming student quality.
My Web responsibilities include:
- marketing strategy
- project management
- updating content in the Content Management System
- aligning Web presence with the College's brand and recruitment initiatives
I am an active member of the American Marketing Association (AMA), including attending the Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education and participating in the AMA Rochester Higher Education Special Interest Group. Currently, I serve as a board member for the West Irondequoit Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that raises funds to underwrite teacher-initiated grants for projects, equipment and programs for the West Irondequoit Central School District.
I am an avid social media user, so please "like", "follow", "favorite", "pin" me and/or "add me to your network".
